There are no easy answers right now for those who have a political mindset with ANY information to back the way they feel, but if you are decidedly NOT a Republican and feel you are a Democrat, or an offshoot there of, what does that mean and when, more importantly, does that look like — to you?
Z gave an impassioned history lesson of protest and revolt involving the foreclosure and why lessons learned there are CRITICAL to make a difference moving forward.
Who will lead the Democratic National Committee and will it matter, when all is said and done? The other thought to ponder is simple; are we even asking the correct questions any longer? Stay tuned!
Well, T&Z have little to no sympathy, empathy or delusions of what happened and did NOT waste their time with analysis, expert testimony, other people’s opinions or theories.
Why? Because, frankly, does it matter?
What T&Z did do was remind us all of what our PERSONAL responsibilities are. to ourselves, our families and our own values and morals. They also stressed the critical nature of what it means to make a difference and what that looks like for them, and for you, if you are willing to go along AND support this ride.
The next whatever is, is what the next whatever is, but finger pointing and crying and hanging our heads low accomplishes nothing but MAYBE some personal satisfaction, and what has that gotten us, ever?
T&Z strongly believe that in order to be the difference we must be the difference in our own lives first and foremost. Our journey to continue this podcast, based on intelligent facts and educated information may have made us poor financially, but we will not succumb to the outer-limits of far Left thought and conspiracy.
We KNOW what we are willing and able to do and will with your support. Do you? Be honest. Do you?
Today’s T&Z podcast is about, yup, you guessed it, voting. Reasons, ideas, truth, lies, candidates, issues, judges, statewide races, and so much more is on the ballot tomorrow, but really, voting is essential for all the reasons you should be voting.
We did travel back in time to highlight some of the antics of both campaigns. We talked about how WRONG we were about Trump from day one and we shared our thoughts about Hillary Clinton. We delved into whatever “the media” has or hasn’t been and what that may look like come Wednesday, but in all sincerity. PLEASE VOTE.
We will survive any result, but make sure one of the votes you see in the voting totals is yours and take pride in that number. It matters!
The proverbial election clock continues it VERY slow countdown to election, and T&Z ponder the reality of the last 24 months, the last 24 days, hell, the last 24 hours. Can we survive a Trump presidency? Is Hillary really crooked? Would you know what changes looks like if it bit you in the ass?
Are you going to vote?
Although today’s show was definitively not a feel-good, pro-democrat message, it is a reality check. You can decided for yourself how real it is.
We took a departure from the regular fare in this episode and talked about more personal issues. We hit on some of the highlights of what's going on in politics, but had a bit of an unplanned detour. Listen in and settle in.
The final and third debate in the insane series of Trump v. Clinton and Tony and Richard run down some of the highlights of the 90 minute fiasco.
Trump called Hillary a nasty women, lied about his wife, his kids, his wealth ... and well everything. It got nasty and if Trump was trying to prove that he had an awesome temperament, loved women, was loved by women, or knew anything about foreign policy short of the conspiracy theories he's read on lunatic websites, he failed.
OK, so Melania Trump believes that boys will be boys, even when her “boy” was 59 years old when he admitted to sexually assaulting women. OK, so next exhibit: According to Mrs. Trump he didn’t know the mic was on…kinda the point Melania. He didn’t, therefore it was his honest feelings. Oh, Melania, T&Z asks you to have someone other than Steve Bannon write your stuff for your own sake and for when the prenup gets caught in the court system and his words are used against you. Maybe plagarize from someone intelligent, like Michelle Obama, for example.
Well, as the first war on drugs didn’t work, T&Z are not so sure why Trump thinks his war on drugs will, and frankly, we’d like to see him take a drug test. And so would the women on The View. Can you say deflection?
And we end the show with Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s impersonation of a clucking chicken (really!). It’s worth it.
OK, so Hillary is not on drugs, all women are not liars and elections are not rigged. So, as we explore what Trump says, what his surrogates claim he is saying and what to expect moving forward (not that anyone can truly figure that out), T&Z have their take at it.
As the “liberal” media is spending as much time on Wikileaks as they are on The Donald’s ongoing implosion, Trump is a one man PR firm whose wheels fell off weeks ago. If we were him we would fire him.
Oh my, the upcoming “debate” should be a doozy, or a freak show of Barnum and Bailey proportions. Politics 2016. The year of the drag-on!
Back to back and overlapping speeches by Trump, Michelle, and Barack addressed crowds this weeks and the differences were stark. From Michelle Obama's impassioned speech in which she addressed the pervasive sexual assaults that happen to women regularly, Barack Obama's charm, humor and wit at the podium and then Donald Trump's poor attempt at reading a speech off of a teleprompter. His unnatural cadence, mispronunciation of simple words and weird hand gestures.
Tony and Richard discuss these speeches and more in this episode.
Nope, not a Who song, but a Trump mantra, sadly. As more allegations of @realDonaldTrump’s disgusting and disrespectful behavior toward women makes itself public, as only 'The Donald' can, to solve this issue, is to threaten to sue the messenger. Way to go Donald.
The mainstream media has FINALLY had enough, and none too soon. Now they have drawn a line in the proverbial sand and are not allowing Trump surrogates to cross it because not every answer should start with, "but Hillary Clinton.” Touché
Until tomorrow compatriots. Don’t forget, nothing replaces voting on November 8, not the 28th as Trump suggested.
Oh, what a wonderful time to be political pundits, and T&Z had a field day today as the Trump Train has fallen over the abyss and is heading for the bottom on the gulch! As Hillary Clinton’s leads has reached almost insurmountable numbers, The Trumpster continues to scream insults at her, accuse her of having no stamina, and says her behavior toward women is worse than Bill Clinton’s. And, we wish we we lying, but alas, this is Donald Trump, after all, so we suffer for another 28 days.
Stay tuned for the show tomorrow as we continue to try and explore the reality and the alternate universe that is American politics 2016!
Today's T&Z welcome back show was filled from top to bottom with debate, denial, debunking and delusion. Facts were left on the cutting room floor for The Donald as he, very Grinch-like, made his stalking presence known to both Hillary Clinton and the audience. With some in the media praising Trump's return from oblivion, that didn't last even 12 hours before the rest of the country chimed in declaring Hillary Clinton the winner of the debate by large margins. Trump is toast, the nut and grain kind. His chances of being president of anything but his own companies is done as well and once November 8 is behind us, America actually will be safe again, from groping and fondling our American ideas. WOW, what a night!
Ah, T&Z almost got dizzy trying to explain the debate on Monday night with fallacies, lies and utterances and sure to be zingers, who the hell really knows what will happen? The suspense is building!!!
@realDonaldTrump has @realProblems with his Russian connections as Brian Ross from ABC shares in an expose on Good Morning America that we shared with you. Ouch!
Hillary Clinton joined Zack Gailianakis for his show, “Between Two Ferns” and the results were both hilarious and a bit uncomfortable for Hillary. Well worth the listen, we promise. And last, and certainly NOT LEAST, Sen. Elizabeth Warren took Wells Fargo CEO John Stumpf to the woodshed as only she can, and the results were pure gold.
T&Z had a field day today with more ammunition on Trump, Trump, Jr and the lies and racist propaganda they continue to spew. We also learned that “papa” George H W Bush is voting for Hillary Clinton, further emphasizing how critical being presidential is. Do not take the news lightly.
T&Z also reacted to the media waking up to the reality of what they have created since @realDonaldTrump came into the political arena and are trying to play catch-up. Is it too late? Time will tell.

Today’s emotional rendering of the stupidity of what @realDonaldTrump did over the past few days included a possibility that the reason media surrogates have become the quintessential liars they are is because they just MAY be drugged, as any other reason seems to have escaped T & Z. If you have a better theory, let us know.
Did Trump once again call for violence against Hillary Clinton? It sure sounded bold enough to believe that.
We also delve into the media, especially Joy Reid of MSNBC, finally having the temerity to stand up to the lies of a few surrogates recently, and what a breath of fresh air that is. Don’t forget to support us at TandZTalk.com where you call follow us, like us, send money to us or send hate mail as well. We all know the saying “When do you know when a politician is lying? When their lips are moving”, well good old @realDonaldTrump has become the poster child for that saying, and is redefining the very essence of what truth, prosperity and the American way is, to most of us.
Once again, because of him, the birther story is once demanding mostly media attention. Why? T&Z really have no freaking idea!!!
Trump is still dodging his taxes and the Hillary e-mail story is still hanging on, but as we discussed today, the George W. Bush administration “lost”, get this, 22 MILLION, e-mails, yep, lost them…sure they did so where is the media on that story?
Kellyann Conway: Trump's campaign manager gets her ass handed to her on CNN live. Joy Reid: MSNBC morning host rips into and schools Trump surrogate Boris Epshteyn. Reid tears into Boris about cross talk and the correct way to answer an interview question. Flint: Trump takes a trip to Flint, hoping it's a photo op and gets taken to the wood shed by a pastor.
Donald Trump has some strong and delusional views on things like what a debate moderator does, whether the military has a court system, how the fed and finances work, and of course whether something as common as pneumonia should keep someone out of public office.
We're back after a brief sabbatical that involved work, moving, illnesses and so much more of all the fun things life can throw at you.
In this episode we talk about 9/11, Hillary's stroke, seizures, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and the fact that she's in a wheelchair most of the day. The fabricated illnesses afflicting Clinton are boundless, as is the GOP's lack of intellectual pride.
And then some more stupid things about Trump, because what show would be complete without it.
The thought of Trump having access to the nuclear codes is terrifying to nearly anyone who knows anything about what it means to launch nuclear weapons. One man who worked underground, with that possibility, had a few words to say. Of course, we also discussed a slew of other things.
That's the rumor. At least that's the rumor on the internet and within the GOP, but there's no indication from the Trump camp that any quitting is imminent. It seems more like he's just taking it up a notch. While the closest advisers are nowhere to be seen, The Donald is out there, way out there. Ivanka, Donald, Jr., Manafort have not been heard from for a few days. Are they on the run, distancing themselves, or did he cast them out? We talk about all that and more in this episode.
Trump can't stop. It looks like he's trying to lose on purpose, but his rabid fans keep cheering him on. And while the GOP may disavow what he says and does, most recently attacking the family of a fallen soldier, they continue to say that they support him.
Hillary Clinton's final night and her acceptance speech. We picked our favorite moments and some we didn't like. We both agree that it was a great show and Clinton, while getting a slow start, made the night and may have changed some minds.
The third day of the Democratic National Convention was a big night and Tony and Richard cover the highlights of the evening with speeches from President Obama, Vice President Biden, former Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and Senator Tim Kaine's impression of Donald Trump. The entire evening was on home run after an another with nearly every speaker knocking it out of the park.
What a difference a week makes. After the hate filled and vile vitriol the GOP subjected us to ;ast week, it was the DNC's turn at a convention. From day one it has started to look more like the America many hope for.
Cory Booker: A new rising star and and an incredible speaker. It's not his first time on the national stage, but boy what a show.
Michelle Obama: Not her first time either. And for someone who's had their speeches stolen by the GOP, this one that she gave at the DNC is definitely worth stealing. Some have even called it one of the best speeches given at the convention.
Sarah Silverman: After being all about Bernie, Silverman has thrown her support behind Sanders much to the chagrin of a booing faction in the crowd. Silverman, after some thought, let them have it in only the way a comedian can.
Paul Simon: Frankly, he sucked.
Jon Stewart: During a surprise appearance on The Tonight Show, Stewart hacks away at Trump, FOX, and Hannity. He really goes after Hannity
Trump on the RNC: Trump appeared on Meet the Press with talking head Chuck Todd to discuss BREXIT, Muslims, his Wall. Basically, everything he knows nothing about.
Bernie: Sanders addresses the issues surrounding the DNC and the emails recently hacked and released.
Hannity: "Lumpy" responds to Jon Stewart's rant and it's pathetic. Junior: Donald
Trump Jr. looses his sh*t with Jake Trapper on CNN.
Baton Rouge: Gov. Bel Edwards of Louisiana addresses the shootings in Baton Rouge.
Gingrich and King: race relations and racism as explained by old white men. Steve King had something particularly ridiculous and disgusting to say about sub humans on CNN.
Plagiarism: Melania a Trump has been accused of plagiarizing one of Michelle Obama’s speeches from four years ago. Richard and Tony uncover the smoking gun that proves the speech was copied. And a surprising revelation from Donald Trump Jr.
Pokemon-Go: People have been plowing into trees and walking off cliffs.
Trump's VP: Who will it be and what will they do? What kind of person takes that job?
D.L. Hughley: On FOX with Megyn Kelley, D.L. and the host get into a heating exchange.
Tim Scott: Sen. Scott talks about what it's like to be a black man in the Senate. The GOP lawmaker has some surprising stories to recount.
Dallas, Dallas, and Dallas. In this episode we look into the aftermath of Dallas and what three prominent figures had to offer in the way of vision and the future. Is it more relevant that two of the men are black? Does that play a role? And does that very simple and obvious fact make a difference?
Bernie Sanders: Appearing with Hillary, Bernie gives his endorsement to the Democratic nominee after his own speech about the revolution.
Giuliani and Gohmert: Both of these old white men weigh in on what it is to be black in America.
White Boy Privilege: The 1st place winner of an 8th grade poetry slam has more understanding about white privilege than most.
Buddhist Opinion: Monk Pema Chodron has an opinion about how black lives matter.
Tony and Richard discuss the tragic events over the weekend in Dallas and around the country. The right's reaction to and the way the media reacts in knee jerk impulses and immediately takes to social media to say, at times, stupid things. Where's the accountability? We hear from Cornell Williams Brooks of the NAACP, Rudy Giuliani, Rush Limbaugh and more.
Charlie Sheen: Donald Trump once gave Charlie a wedding gift and Charlie has some news about the "very expensive gift."
Benghazi: It won't stop. The GOP won't let it go. Donald Trump's surrogate and an attorney tweeted something so disgusting that it could very well qualify as libel.
Mom with sick kid: A mother, concerned for her child contacted members of congress and one responded by telling her to get a job - she has one. Actually, she has two.
Brexit: We discuss what it means for Great Britain and the rest of the world.
Trump's Resort: Rather than make any coherent analysis of Brexit, Trump instead, talked about his Golf Course and proved that he has no understanding of what's happening in the world.
George Will: 40 year news veteran and Republican pundit and opinion columnist - called by some a "king maker" announced over the weekend that he was leaving the GOP.
John Lewis: The Representative from Georgia and renowned civil rights activist who was beaten by police during the march on Selma Alabama in the 1960's is being labeled a criminal and a terrorist by the NRA.
Fact Checking: CNN now has a dedicated team of fact checkers to check everything that comes out of Donald Trump's mouth in real time, or as close to real time as possible.
Sit-in: More news from the sit-in, including bat shit crazy Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert.
House anti-gun sit-in: After John Lewis gave a speech on gun control and staged a sit-in, the Speaker of the House, Republicans gaveled the session and turned off the cameras.
Orlando Shooter was gay and looking for revenge: A former gay lover of the Orlando shooter gave an interview to Univision and says that Omar Mateen was gay, angry, and confused.
Right-wing radio: We listen to a couple of the nuttier talk shows in the right- wing nut factory.
Hillary Clinton on Trump: Clinton gave a rousing speech about Trump and the economy saying his tiny hands should be no where near it. Referencing his literature and noting that all his books end with Chapter 11.
Trump: Running out of money and not able to raise more and claiming he'll use his own, but much of his campaign's money has been spent on his water, stakes, and properties.
The NRA: Once again the GOP voted down every bill put forth on gun control, including background checks and terrorists. The GOP essentially voted to allow terrorists to buy assault rifles.
The Gun Vote: Congress is set to vote on four bills that will determine whether we join the rest of the civilized world in regulating military grade fire arms.
Paul Ryan: Ryan has been falling all over himself to sound as if he's endorsing Trump or supporting him or not supporting him.
Elizabeth Warren: Another masterful swipe at Trump from the Massachusetts Senator.
There's more: Trust us there's more.
Trump has now banned a handful of news outlet from covering, including Politico, Huffington Post, CNN and most recently the Washington Post. The question now is, who will voluntary stand in solidarity and stop covering him.
Seth Myers, late night talk show host did just that. Granted the show is not a news show per se, but it's a start.
And what about Sacramento? Where are we with that? We discuss the recent comments and rhetoric from that day and how it's affecting politics. Tony and Richard will also talk about FOX's new found agreement with banning assault rifles. Don't believe me? Listen to the show.
Trump has accused the President of the United States of treason by insinuating that he may be a sleeper agent for ISIS. The Media, once again, is awash with rhetoric and indignation that yet another massacre has occurred in this country. Will this time be any different? Will Congress affect change? Will anything change?
The mood seems different this time and maybe it's because the hate, vitriol, and bigotry that's been shrouded by republicans in a veil of legislation has been exposed and embodied in it's worst possible way thanks to Trump.
Anderson Cooper from CNN paid tribute to the victims in Orlando during a moving segment. You can listen to the full audio in this episode.
Once again a mass shooting in America. Muslim, hate crime, radical Islamic terrorist, radicalized Muslim? Who knows and do we really care?
In today’s episode Tony Trupiano and Richard Zombeck discuss the shooting in Orlando Florida, gun nuts, the LGBT community and how conservative politicians and their base react to yet one more mass shooting with an assault rifle.
And of course, no show would be complete without finding out what Donald Trump’s gigantic ego had to say about all this. Among other things, he managed to insinuate that President Obama was part of a Muslim sleeper cell.
Donald Trump has not toned it down, despite the party's higher ups requesting that he do. In fact he's turned up the racist rhetoric to a level that is taking us back to an era we've thought we'd left behind long ago. He's come out against a federal Judge who is presiding over a case involving Trump University, calling him unfit to hear the case because of his Mexican ancestry.
Trump has also said that a Muslim should not hear his case. The GOP leaders like Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan have not budged on their support, nor have they been willing to condone what he's said.
It's Trump again who is dominating the news cycle with his University, steaks, wine, bottled water and slightly exaggerated wealth. New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman was on Morning Joe making no small thing of the case against Donald Trump. He called it, simply, fraud. And that's what it is. The case was opened in 2013 so there's no question that this has very little if nothing to do with the elections. We can be certain that Trump and his minions will accuse the left of doing this out of some sort of evil plot though.
Mark Cuban also had a few choice words for Trump and even questions the moguls wealth. Cuban puts it at closer to $165 million. Still a lot, but not $10 billion.
Donald Trump has often gone after the media. Recently however, he's taken to insulting them to their faces. We are reminded of an old quote from back when new was printed on paper: "Never argue with a man who buys his ink by the barrel and paper by the ton" Trump doesn't seem to care and neither do his followers. He seems nearly impervious to what others would suffer from. His attacking the press sets a dangerous precedent though and is a clear danger to democracy and society.
Trump: That's right, he won it. He got all the delegate votes he needed. Now what? Well, now we get to hear him prattle on about Pocahontas, Crazy Bernie and Crooked Hillary.
Trump again: His campaign manager has started letting us know that Trump will pick a VP who can do the more presidenty stuff and that Donald will act more like a chairman of the board.
Seth Myers: A little of Seth Meyers from the 2015 Corespondent's Dinner in which he took some well deserved swipes at the Donald, who sat head in hand.
Bernie in California: Bernie has a new ad and we played it. Let's see what happens with that, shall we.
Big Banks: Remember the LIBOR? If you do you'll remember what the banks got away with? As it happens they're back in court and it could take them down.
Elizabeth Warren: Trump pulls out the ole Pocahontas BS and Warren goes after him like a pit bull.
The media: The media, including FOX might finally be calling Trump out on his "tawdry" attacks on Hillary.
Today's show was a little odd as Tony and I started with the intent of going through the usual news of the day and the day before, but we ended up talking about the state of the gig economy and how we're effected by it. Both working menial jobs and trying to make ends meet.
With Tony working a kitchen and Zombeck writing articles, at times for free. The fact that the UK editor for Huffington Post, Stephen Hull, piped up recently about not paying bloggers didn't help much either. Here's what he had to say when asked about not paying writers:
"If I was paying someone to write something because I want it to get advertising, that’s not a real authentic way of presenting copy. When somebody writes something for us, we know it’s real, we know they want to write it. It’s not been forced or paid for. I think that’s something to be proud of.”
Good stuff, right? Unless you're the poor idiot doing the writing.
So, we decided to get a little better about begging for money and promoting ourselves, which is unfortunately not something we're good at.
The conversation then went quickly to Trump and that's when Tony had some technical difficulties and we had to cut the show a little short. We cleaned it up the best we could in post, so enjoy the hell out of out and enjoy the two cartoons below.
Hillary: Is Bernie helping Donald Trump? Clinton talks to Chuck Todd
Bernie: Is Bernie helping Donald Trump? It's a theme and Bernie talks to George Stephanopoulos about that and the Sanders platform that he will be pushing for.
Jon Oliver: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver took on the Primaries and Caucuses over the weekend and as usual, they take a complex issue and break it down.
Nevada: What exactly happened in Nevada and what is the Bernie Sanders campaign up to?
Zombeck’s dryer: That’s right. We spent some time talking about Richard’s dryer and how he fixed it.
Megyn and Donald: looks like Megyn Kelly and Donald Trump have made up. At least that’s what it looks like. It really looks like that.
Republican economics: the GOP is on the fast track to rewrite history and who was responsible for economic downturns and upswings. Take a guess at who they think was responsible for the upturns.
Sucking Up: The GOP including Paul Ryan and Lindsay Graham both show signs of sucking up to Trump. Graham had started to become one our favorite republicans - that's long gone.
Elizabeth Warren: Trump doesn't know what he's in for with the senator from Massachusetts. She may soft and sweet and outside, but get her mad and you'll see a different side.
The Butler did it: Trump's butler, who is not only an Alfred look a like has some insane Facebook posts and some really nasty things to say in an interview with NBC.
Pain Meds: Well known over the counter meds are causing a lack of empathy.
The Newsroom: Jeff Daniels, who played Will McAvoy acts out the most famous scene from the Newsroom for Bloomberg TV.
Rubio: Little Marco seems to be having an issue sticking to his original assessment of Trump.
Donald's Taxes: Trump still won't release his taxes and his excuses are lame.
