Is Trump just a liar or does he have the greatest memory in the history of the world as he likes to claim? And what happened to Bernie Sanders in South Carolina? Back to Trump: Did he disavow a KKK endorsement or not?
GOP, DEMs, Super Tuesday and who's ahead in the polls and why. It's another Trump surprise to the pundits, but to no one else. The GOP is in such a panic they've trotted out Mitt Romney to talk about taxes. That's right, Mitt Romney is making comments on Trump's taxes.
Should we, as Democrats, hold our elected officials to a higher standard than others when it comes to campaign tactics?
The weekend results from Nevada and South Carolina and what they mean according to political watchers T&Z. With strong opinions on all sides of these results, this could get interesting. Jeb! is out! We'll talk that up and is Democratic turnout a concern for the Democratic Party? It should be.
What did the Pope really say about Donald Trump? While the headlines are keeping to their very bombastic headlines of the a war of words between Donald Trump and Pope Francis, we have a slightly different view, based on what the Pope actually said in his native language.
Tony was out and about, so Rheana Nevitt Piegols sat in to chat about the Pope v Trump debacle and more on Jonathan Capehart from the Washington Post who blocked @zombeck from his twitter feed.
As discussed in the show, the article referrenced about the Pope and what he said appeared in Washington Post and was written by By James Martin, a Jesuit priest, editor at large of America and author of "Seven Last Words." The article, "What the pope did, and didn’t, mean when he said Trump was not a Christian" contains the words spoken by Pope Francis on the plane in Mexico and it is apparent that what the media is reporting is quite different from the facts - we're so surprised.
A Tony-less show while he's taking care of business for a few days. Rheana Nevitt Piegols joined Richard Zombeck on today's episode to talk about a couple of Zombeck's latest Huffington Post articles focused on The Washington Post's Jonathan Capehart and his odd affliction with smearing Bernie Sanders. Both articles were discussed during the show.
You can read more from Zombeck at "Washington Post Doubles Down On Bernie Sanders Smear " and "Those Photographs Of Bernie Sanders Are Real Despite What You've Heard."
Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia dies and the Republicans freak out immediately! Dirty politics? Debate insanity? When is a picture NOT a real picture? Odd questions? Welcome to modern day politics! Join T&Z in this episode as we break down the weekend madness and examine what all of this insanity may be doing to our democracy.

Well, we know who is out, who is nervous, who is in denial and that's just on the Republican side of the aisle. We'll break down the danger of Superdelegates, the Dem debate in Milwaulkee tonight and a little more on Chris Matthews and some of the comments that were made on Zombeck's article on Huffington Post and Liberals Unite.
We apologize to our live listeners for the technical difficulties our service provider experienced and manged to clean up a lot of the mess in the podcast.
Wednesday, February 10, 2016, the show is all about the victories in New Hampshire, who won beyond the top vote getters, who lost, who is staying and who may be going bye-bye. We'll also look at exit polling, polling in general and what they tell us. Also, Marco Rubio and Carley Fiorina may just be the masters od denial.
We also have a special guest who will share a real moment he had with Chris Christie and offer his thoughts on New Hampshire, as he LIVES there!
Analiese Dobblestein, of Environment America Center joined us today to talk about Tyson foods and their role, along with other corporation, in polluting the nation's water ways. We've included a link to the PDF below.
Also today, the first in the nation primary in New Hampshire. How will today's result differ from Iowa (and it will), and who has the edge at this point? Polling is again on trial and with New Hampshire having a great deal of independent voters this could be a very long night for some and a short night for others. We'll also speculate who may be the next GOP candidate to back down if there is one and so much more!
A shorter than usual episode this time, due to technical difficulties. It's a little shorter than usual - that's what happens when technology doesn't actually make our lives easier. We did manage to get some discussion in about the primaries in NH, the GOP debate last week and the Sanders v Clinton discussion. We'll have our scheduled guest on for the next episode.
Tackling the lunacy of Cruz-Trump-Carson and how infantile and unnecessary it is.
So, we ask, how can this be and why are any of these candidates being taken seriously?
We also discuss the Rubio effect, if it matters, and how this is changing the face of the primary season, or is it?
Hillary and Bernie FINALLY get the stage to themselves tonight in their next debate.
How NOT having Marty around changes the dialogue and will Marty be the opening act of the debate with sing along of "This land is your land?
Iowa, Trump, Rubio, and Flint Michigan are on the menu in this episode.
Trupiano and Zombeck will take a look at the day after the day after Iowa. What's the conversation on both sides of the political spectrum and the expectations for New Hampshire? Should women be required to register for the draft? Is race in America still a well kept open secret? An update on Flint, MI, and it is getting hotter for Michigan Governor Snyder as the FBI is now involved, making it look like there could be criminal charges.
Welcome to the Tuesday, February 2, 2016, episode of T&Z Talk! The scorecard is complete. The results are in and T & Z will break it all down, including their scoring themselves and their predictions! Winners and losers and the losers are BIG in many ways and although we already know who is leaving we'll explore who now MUST leave and how will that happen? Surprises, concrete realities and spinning will rule the day in the political world, but Trupiano and Zombeck will give it to you straight up.
Well, let the REAL games begin. While T & Z have questioned the relevance of Iowa and New Hampshire, they do matter in many ways that do not make Kings or Queens. Momentum? Money? Ideas? Friends? Foes? Issues even? We'll break it down in an in-depth way and invite you to join us and contribute to the conversation.
Joining us on the show today were Michael Handley, whose blog can be found at www.demblognews.com and Shirley Mckellar, who will be running against Rep. Louie Gohmert of Texas.
Both Michael and Shirley called in to weigh in on the Iowa caucuses happening today.
