Zombeck's continued obsession with Bernie Sanders will be apparent today. Will Trupiano go along with him or fight for a more equal playing field on the show? The Donald Trump debate, on everything Trump, continues as well. How the hell did all this happen and can it be corrected?
No doubt T&Z has an opinion on this topic as well. And Ted Cruz, you remember him, right? Where is he these days and is his relevance gone and forgotten?
A bird landed on the podium while Bernie Sanders was speaking in Portland Oregon. The crowd went wild, Bernie was visibly surprised and the bird just stood there.
Trying to get over the Trump hump? God luck! The GOP is in a free-fall, they are NOT acting presidential in any way and Ted Cruz has come unhinged and his anger seems to be staged, practiced and rehearsed. T&Z will take a deep look inside the GOP presidential politics and how damaging they are right now. Why can't they all just get along?
Bernie Sanders has an amazing weekend, but the media is still not giving him his due.
Trump, Cruz, Sanders, Clinton, Obama, Ryan, and that's just for starters. With the campaign season in tsunami mode, it's clear that on both sides of the political aisle there is chaos and confusion, and most importantly, uncertainty. T&Z discuss what is happening and why this is not the way most of our candidates should be acting. Presidential? Hardly humane for starters!
The terror attacks claimed proudly by ISIS, will be an early focus of today's show. We'll also break down the Tuesday primaries winners and losers and we'll spend some time on both the President's trip to Cuba and the insanity of both Ted Cruz and Donald Trump and their reaction to what happened in Brussels. Nothing will surprise you but their stance has created a reaction that must be heard to be believed.
Our guest in this episode is Alicia Guevara Warren Kids Count in Michigan Project Director who joined us to discuss the shocking number of kids in poverty and going hungry - not only in Michigan, but nationally. The numbers are staggering and represent, by the numbers, an America in an embarrassing third world status.

Terror attacks in Brussels. Republicans pandering to AIPAC. Primaries today could be the coronation Trump and Clinton. President Obama in Cuba and what that means going forward to the rest of the world. Also, Bill Clinton's unfortunate remark about the Obama legacy - which doesn't seem to be about the Obama legacy, but about the GOP Congress. The Right, along with Bernie Supporters don't seem to be interpreting it that way, so more disingenuous claims in politics. It's all in the name of winning, but what does it say about our relationship to the truth?
Well, well, well, what is the GOP up to now? What did the weekend teach us about the remaining candidates on the Right side of the aisle? Will the SCOTUS battle boil over this week? Will the primaries this week make things clearer on both side or will it cloud up the mess that exists. There is NEVER a lack of issues to discuss and T&Z are there to clarify, punctuate and inform.
Michigan Governor goes to Washington to testify on the #FlintWaterCrisis and literally gets his ass handed to him. Yes, the EPA could have and should have done more, but it starts and stops with the state of Michigan and their elected leaders, and they failed miserably. We'll also continue to look at SCOTUS nominee Judge Garland, GOP obstructionism and the pleas of the media to do the right thing. And finally, Donald Trump is an ongoing target of the GOP establishment, but when will they realize they are only helping him succeed? Probably never!
If it's Wednesday, it's T&Z Talk and we have plenty to talk about. Little Marco is out, Lying Ted is in denial, Gov. Kasich believes he has momentum, and Donald Trump again is the big winner of this Super Tuesday. We'll also look at the candidacy of Bernie Sanders and discuss if there is ANY way forward for this great man, proud Progressive, and amazing candidate after Hillary Clinton's amazing showing on Tuesday. Oh, what a night!
Another Tuesday and another chance for a surprise or a letdown for both the GOP and the Dems.
Will Bernie surprise in the Midwest and will Trump cement his lead in the delegate race? Is Marco Rubio toast and what will Ted Cruz do as the days turns him on his head? And John Kasich?
Politico and Lawrence O'Dennell clock Donald Trump's lies at one every five minutes after examining over four hours of speeches and appearances. And the media does nothing about it.
Well, does it really matter? T&Z will not only give you their take but chances are they will not be on the same side on every issue.
Violence, inciting rhetoric, hatred, bias, racism, anger, and denial, and that's not a movie scenario but the recent presidential race. T&Z will also look at other candidates on both sides of the aisle including Little Marco, Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton, and so much more.
If you were watching the GOP debates last night, you may have noticed something missing. There was no screaming; none of the candidates were insulting other candidates; there was a level of civility; and the commentators, pundits, and even some audience members opined on the “substantive nature” of last night’s debate. After all, none of the four candidates actually pulled their pants down at any time during the show.
And while the exchanges may have appeared to be ripe with substance as they delved into serious and concerning topics like the economy, Social Security, trade, the environment, education, defense spending, and climate change among other things, it was far from being substantive.
As Ezra Klein from Vox put it:
But the things the candidates actually said were, by turns, wrong, misleading, misinformed, confused, or ridiculous. This substantive debate mostly showed how weak a grasp on the issues the candidates actually have.
In one glaring example, Marco Rubio responded to a question on climate change by saying "as far as a law that we can pass in Washington to change the weather, there's no such thing."
That's an incredibly ignorant comment to make on a national stage and shows complete lack of forethought and leadership from a politician who was supposed to be the reasonable one.
When pressed by the moderator on whether climate change was real, Rubio said, "I would say there's no law we could pass that would have an impact on that." A comment that is completely and totally false.
The point that needs to be made and is often missed when it comes to the utterances from the right-wing crazy train, is that the presidency is a real job and requires the person to fill that job to live in reality.
Tony Trupiano and I discuss the debate, the candidates’ responses, and as an added bonus, at least to me, Senator Elizabeth Warren’s appearance on Rachel Maddow last night, during which she eviscerates the GOP obstruction in a lengthy rant.
The previous night was another debate between Clinton and Sanders. This time on Univision and CNN and partly in Spanish, which may have caused some in the GOP to lose their minds. We go over the debate that was both contentious and interesting - dare we say informative.
Will the Democratic Debate and the Fox Town Hall help or hurt Bernie Sanders? Did Hillary Clinton make a compelling case for her candidacy? And, will March 8 be a Super Tuesday for Ted Cruz, Donald Trump or Marco Rubio. And, what role does, or should, religious affiliation and conviction play in politics? T&Z will break it all down for you.
And what Hitler is he be compared to? Is it the 1940's Hitler in all of his hateful glory or the 1929 rise to power Hitler. His pre-game, so to speak, when he was rising in popularity and the masses were coming out in droves to salute and cheer him.
There's been a lot of speculation in the press and Tony and I even seem to agree with some unlikely sources and pundits in this episode of the show.
Mittens comes unglued and if he is the new GOP standard-bearer, well, how much trouble are they in? The debate, or whatever you want to call last night's embarrassment is over, done and finito, but will any of the Rubio/Cruz assault hurt or help Trump? By the way, was John Kasich even there last night? Happy Friday electorate!
Is the GOP imploding? T&Z will break that down and you should not expect the same old same old. These are trying times for Republicans and potentially dangerous as
We'll also look at Melissa Harris Perry leaving MSNBC in not a happy way, and oh, so much more!
Super Tuesday! Yeah, so that happened...What will happen? What should happen? What won't happen? Oh, so much to say! It's the day after Super Tuesday and there's a lot to talk about.
